Why Is Google Firebase Still Sending Me Alerts About Insecure Data?

This video explains why Google is sending insecure data notifications about FireStore.

  • (00:25) Your database contains all the text and media on your website, which is publically hosted.

  • (01:30) But, you want people to be able to see this data and the spreadsheets.

  • (02:08) You can define the rules in the Firebase Database.

  • (02:28) To stop receiving the notifications, open the email and click "Alert Settings" on the footer.

  • (03:15) In the "Database" section, make sure 'Your Realtime Database has insecure rules" and "Your Cloud Firestone database has insecure rules" notifications are unclicked.
